Northern California native, Heather, grew up being as active as possible thereby realizing that the one place she felt most comfortable was in the water. Hours spent at the local rec pool swimming back and forth and pretending she was a mermaid led to an aquatic adventure involving competing collegiately at the University of California, Berkeley and earning a degree in Marine Biology; 13 years on the National Water Polo team (*winning 4 Olympic medals & 3 World Championships!); and several seasons playing professionally in Italy, Greece and Brazil!!
Finding Jolyn swimwear was like a breath of fresh air in the daily choice of an outfit to facilitate aquatic fun! So upon moving back to her home town after retiring from international competition, Heather was stoked to spread the Jolyn love in Northern California!
While not in water or sharing her love for Jolyn, Heather likes to give back as a sport ambassador for several national and international charities; swimming in events for Swim Across America to battle cancer, championing life skills through sport with Right To Play in Africa, and supporting our military by traveling to Afghanistan to meet our active troops. Together we can make this world a better place!
