I'm a native Californian raised in Walnut Creek (NorCal). Of course, I ended up in the pool as a synchronized swimmer and after 19 years swam in the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, winning the Team Gold Medal! I actually have 2 pet bunnies (Peanut and Ellie - you can imagine me singing "It's Peanut Butter/Ellie time!" I have an awesome 16 year old kiddo, Fischer and if I could run away and do anything I wanted, I'd be on the beach doing AcroYoga or rock climbing in Yosemite. 
If you were stranded on an island and could only bring 3 things, what would they be: Of course a bikini, a shovel ( to shovel to China and a nose clip.

No ties and fewer tan lines. Plus its snug so when I do a swim set, I'm pretty sure it'll stay on... - If you had to be an animal, what would you be and why: A monkey. Because I was born in the year of the Monkey and I love hanging on things. - What activities do you do in JOLYN: I'm a new fan so I have more fun to experience with ya'll - What's the most inspiring race you've ever seen: Any of the swims at the Olympic Games! - How do you like to cross train? or What is your favorite cross training activity: I don't really cross train, I play. I teach and do Pilates everyday. I rock climb, do yoga and AcroYoga.  - What book would you recommend to our readers: Zen and the Art of Happiness - What inspires you: Nature, the wind, the Olympic Games - What is something that nobody knows about you: I actually made several prototypes and "mermaid jeans" with sequins, rhinestones and all!" - What would you spend your last $10 on: some iTunes songs for my kid. - What is your signature dish in the kitchen: Almond, Cherry, Chocolate chunk biscotti - What is the hardest thing you've ever experienced: Breaking my leg, falling off of a chairlift, when I was 6 and my parents fighting about it.  - What is your favorite workout or gym exercise: The Snake and the Twist on the Pilates Reformer - What is your favorite holiday destination: Anywhere I can see the Southern Cross - What is your most embarrassing moment you're willing to admit: Trying so hard on a swim through in practice that I pooped a little in my suit... - Any last words or testimonial? I am everything I am because of my teammates, coaches and my family.
